New Website Developed for the Pediatric Associates of Plymouth

Pediatric Associates of Plymouth is celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2010. Their practice was first known as Norristown Pediatrics, formed in 1960 by three pediatricians - Drs. Thomas Kochenderfer, Norman Quinn and Allen Weed - who merged their solo practices to work together providing care for children in Montgomery County. Dr. Quinn served as long-time chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Montgomery Hospital, and Dr. Weed did the same at the former Sacred Heart Hospital. The group eventually moved to the Red Rowan Lane office in Plymouth Meeting, and the name was changed to Pediatric Associates of Plymouth. In 1996, they relocated to the Walton Road Campus.

In August of 1981, Pediatric Associates of Plymouth opened a satellite office in Trappe. Initially operating only 3 afternoons per week, this second office rapidly grew and expanded to a full-time facility. In 2000, the Trappe office moved down Main Street to a larger new setting in Collegeville.

Today, their six pediatricians divide their time between both offices. They are affiliated with Bryn Mawr Hospital and also have access to specialist care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, and Nemours-Dupont Hospital for Children. Each office is staffed with dedicated nurses, lab technicians and front-office personnel continuing a fifty-year tradition of providing knowledgeable, compassionate care for the children of Montgomery County.
